Gloss & Grit

Delicate Porcelain, Disgusting Details

«Gloss & Grit» questions our desire for purity, order and clinical perfection. This collection consciously uses disgust as a design tool, bringing a deeply rooted and often suppressed emotion to the surface. Finely crafted and seemingly flawless plates, cups and bowls reveal subtle imperfections close-up: a hair, a stain, an inconsistency in the glaze. A classically tasteful table setting turns out to be toying with our perception, making a case for the imperfect and the human through design.
