Junior Design Research Conference 2025 at ZHdK
On 28 November, the Junior Design Research Conference 2025 took place at the Toni-Areal and at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich.
The Junior Design Research Conference (JDRC) is an annual event that brings together MA students who follow a Master of Arts in Design programme at a Swiss University of Applied Sciences. The conference aims to … exchange about specific Master projects and networking. Different formats shed light on approaches and methods students are dealing with during different stages of their Master's theses.
The JDRC's organisation has been rotating yearly. In 2025, it was hosted by the Department of Design (Corina Zuberbühler, Head of Programme BA and MA Major Design and Dagna Salwa, Scientific Associate Design) of ZHdK. After students gave insights into their projects in short presentations and panels, they hosted and participated in workshops, diving deeper into topics such as research methodology and connections between practice and theory. The conference day closed with an apéro in the Club Mehrspur, with live coding and a DJ set.
