Agency extending Game Mechanics for the Avatar in Virtual Reality
The M.A. thesis «Power & Presence» examines significant and empowering interactions in virtual reality. Fundamentally, it asks how specific invitations to interaction may be implemented as game mechanics, without disrupting the players’ sense of being in another world. The resulting artefact combines the findings from a critical analysis of individual theories and presents them in the form of a VR game controlled by phonal interaction.
