Archeology of Consequent Forms

«Archeology of Consequent Forms» tries to understand how artificial intelligence models could be used in the type design discipline, given their ability to understand patterns and tendencies. This ability allows us a new way of looking at the historical standards and to project possible consequences in the development of typeface design. Still, the technology is in its infancy, and it’s the human’s role to curate these results – discerning the noise in the patterns resulting from the «intention» of the machine, digging away at the «dirt» and revealing the true shape of the artefact.
