Simone Stolz, Knowledge Visualization alumna, publishes her book «Dazwischen die Einsamkeit»
Simone Stolz celebrates the launch of her book «Dazwischen die Einsamkeit», which is based on her Bachelor project «Grund genug». In 2023, «Grund genug» was awarded the ZHdK Sponsorship Award Design.
Simone Stolz completed her studies in Knowledge Visualization in the summer of 2023. She was awarded the ZHdK Sponsorship Award Design for her Bachelor project «Grund genug». This project was the foundation for her first graphic novel «Dazwischen die Einsamkeit», which will be published in July 2025 by edition clandestin.
With drawings and conversations, the author approaches the stories, memories and narratives of former Swiss foster children. These are stories from everyday life, stories of loneliness and fear, stories of labour and rules, of escape and resilience. Stories of a search for identity. «Dazwischen die Einsamkeit» creates a multi-faceted and personal access to a dark chapter in Swiss history and contributes to its visibility.
The book launch takes place on July 4, 2025, 18pm at the edition clandestin Verlagsatelier at Münsterplatz 8 in Basel. An accompanying exhibition with original drawings from the book and from the process is also open on July 5 from 12-16pm.
