Every year, up to 150 Bachelor and Master students graduate from the Department of Design at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Showcase Design pools the creative potential of the Department of Design at Zurich University of the Arts, making it accessible interactively while demonstrating its full scope and diversity.
All the diploma projects shown here are distinguished by their spirit of innovation, by practicality and progressiveness, and a critical, unconventional approach to their specific disciplines. It provides a forum for the designers behind the projects, offers opportunities for contacts, and acts as a showcase for the department.
Showcase Design provides a platform for the best projects from the seven subject areas of the Department of Design. This eclectic selection is a benchmark for design excellence at ZHdK and paves the way for the creative industry of tomorrow. Since 2018 the best examples will be presented on this website which will enable visitors to experience them interactively. The projects are selected by the heads of the individual specialisation areas and correspond with the award nominations of the respective year from the Department of Design.
