Riparienses Milites
At the Schaaren nature reserve by the River Rhine in the Canton of Thurgau, archaeologists discovered the foundations of four late-Roman watchtowers. Built around 370 AD, they were intended to help fortify the border of the Roman Empire. In «Riparienses Milites» – an interactive web narrative about loyalty and borders – you take on the role of the border guard Gaius. What begins as an ordinary Tuesday ends in a hopeless situation. A project which makes it possible to empathise by taking part in the experience.
